About Us


Dr Cameron Gent

Dr Gent is a graduate of the University of Western Australia and has his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has been practising in family medicine for 22 years. He has worked in many areas of medicine with experience in Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Occupational Health, Psychiatry and Men’s Health.

Dr Gent has worked in rural and remote locations as well as in urban practice. He is the Dad to three teenage children! He is the practice principal at Wembley Medical Centre.


Dr Abbe Hollingworth

Dr Abbe Hollingworth is an experienced female GP with a keen interest in Paediatrics and Women’s Health. Since graduating from the University of Western Australia, Dr Hollingworth has over 21 years of experience caring for young and old and everyone in between in all aspects of family medicine.

Dr Hollingworth has worked in the local community for the last ten years and has a strong belief that every patient needs to be treated with respect and have their care individualized; one of the many reasons she has become such a popular and sought after GP.


Dr Kirsty Hogan

Dr Kirsty Hogan is originally from Sydney, having graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Newcastle, NSW, and furthering her medical training at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.  

Dr Hogan moved to Perth 12 years ago where she obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has also worked at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, developing her Paediatrics experience.

She has been practising in General Practice in WA for over 10 years and has developed a strong following of patients in her part time practice. She has interests in Paediatrics, Women’s Health and minor procedures also providing shared Antenatal Care in partnership with maternity hospitals and private Obstetricians. Dr Hogan is a mum to two primary school age children.


 Dr Adele Thomas

Dr Adele Thomas is a Family Practitioner for over 40 years. Her special interests are Women’s and Mental Health, Relationships and Sexual Issues, and Seniors Care.

Dr Thomas leads an adventurous life with her husband, which includes skiing, swimming, cycling and tornado chasing. She enjoys quilting and time with her grandchildren. Dr Thomas and her husband are Passionate Retirees. They speak to many groups, run workshops, run blogs and are media contributors.








Dr Peter Buffham

Dr Peter Buffham is a dedicated family general practitioner who has moved to Wembley Medical Centre after many years working in the Scarborough area. He is determined to provide excellence in health care at this new practice which fits with the practice goal of being the practice of choice in the Wembley and surrounding areas. Dr Buffham has been working in General Practice for over 20 years. He has a passion for General Practice, notably being the top marked candidate nationally when he obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. On top of his Fellowship status he has the Diploma in Child Health from the Royal Australian College of Physicians.

Dr Buffham has particular interests in preventive health, paediatrics and dermatology including skin cancer screening and removals. He is accredited to undertake diving medicals. Dr Buffham has a relaxed consulting style and can often be found in a Hawaiian shirt on a Friday! He loves life with his amazing wife and three gorgeous children, enjoying all sports, four wheel driving and caravanning and music. 


Dr Katy Lawson

Dr Katy Lawson is a UK trained and WA qualified GP with 11 years experience as a doctor plus prior experience as a physiotherapist. She has complementary experience working in rural medicine, contraception and sexual health.

A proud mum with two young children, Katy lives in the local community of Wembley Medical Centre. 

Katy believes in treating the person first, the condition second and bringing together the best team to look after the individual.


Dr Mike D’Arcy-Evans

Dr Mike D’Arcy-Evans is a University of Western Australia graduate and fellow of the royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Before entering general practice he gained valuable experience working in rural NZ, Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and Sir Charles Gairdner hospital as a registrar in general and emergency medicine.

He has 25 years of experience as a GP, with a special interest in obesity management including follow up of bariatric surgery patients (all aspects including gastric band adjustment).

A Wembley resident for over 20 years, with 3 children and spare time split between supporting their sports and maintaining an old California Bungalow. When time allows he also enjoys fly fishing, riding his mountain bike and making good coffee.


Alison Priest / Registered Nurse

Alison Priest is an experienced Practice nurse, who is originally from the UK. She has been in Practice nursing for the past 17 years, firstly at Herdsman Medical Centre and more recently at Wembley Medical Centre.

Alison is a qualified midwife and also has undertaken a course in diabetic care and management.

She enjoys practice nursing for the involvement it gives her with local families and time to spend interacting with her clients on a one to one basis. Having time to spend with people in a caring role and the ability to provide preventative health is very important to her.

In her spare time, Alison loves any craft which she finds relaxing and  also cooking.


Margaret Wallace / Registered Nurse

Marg is originally from New Zealand and has many years experience in both hospital and community nursing.

She enjoys the variety in aspects of general Practice and constantly meeting new people who bring their individual qualities with them.

Marg is interested in holistic health and promotion of wellness, good nutrition, fitness and of course laughter to enhance peoples optimal health, alongside medical requirements.

Her interests are walking, yoga, flora and fauna, art, music, beach and travel.
